Read a review by Sarah: After watching Rachel’s songs on Nick Jr (my son LOVES the Feeling Song…oh okay…I do too…LOL!!!), I looked more into it and figure out that all the songs were from Signing Time. I myself learned basic signs in elementary school (we had a deaf boy in my 2nd grade class) and I still remember quite a bit. Now that I am a daycare provider and a mom, it is important for all the children to learn sign language as well (plus I myself want to be able to move towards more conversational sign to be able to communicate with a hearing impaired college student at our church). I debated which dvd to start with (almost started with the volume with the Feelings Song because of my son’s love), but instead decided to start with this one so the kids can start learning their ABCs and 123s (plus we have also been doing 1-2 new signs each week…this week was “yes” and “no”…the kids pick them up SO fast!). My oldest son 4 and my daycare kiddo 3 were both glued to the tv and signed along with Rachel. My 2 1/2 year old son would do his best and when he couldn’t get his little fingers to do the right thing, he would run over to me and ask for help…he was so excited when he could do it himself…I’m sure with no time he will be keeping up with his brother and the 3 year old. I also have an 18 month old daycare kiddo and am expecting a baby in April, so I am looking forward to doing baby sign with them too! Thank you for Signing Time and we will be purchasing a new dvd each month to add to our daycare collection until we have all 26!!! Oh, and I LOOOVVVVEEEE the fact that Rachel puts tape/paint on her fingers to help the kiddos (it is nice because my son is color blind, but the colors she chose are very bright so he can still tell a difference!)! It is fantastic!
