Signing Time Academy Instructors are Teaching Girls Scouts How to Sign

After seeing the following video and post last week we reached out to theGirl Scouts of the USA to ask permission to share it with you. We wanted to share what some of the Signing Time Academy Instructors are doing to teach Girls Scouts how to sign. A Window into His Mind

by Megan McWilliams, Master Signing Time Instructor While on a walk, my 16 month son took interest in an electrical box surrounded by a decorative fence. We were only one house from home, so I was anxious to keep moving. He pointed to and babbled about the box for a while. Since I was unable to convince him to continue walking, I  signed and told him “ELECTRICITY BOX DON’T TOUCH” knowing he had never seen the signs for electricity or box before. He replied by signing back “BED.” The window into his mind was opened up to me through that one …

5 things only a Signing Time Instructor or Super Fan would understand

1. When you let the dogs out in the morning to go to the bathroom, you start singing the theme to: “It’s Potty Time!” 2. When your kids change their clothes and don’t put them in the hamper and you walk up to their room and start pointing and singing, “One sock, two socks, three socks! Look at these socks!” 3. Anytime anything in your house is exciting you start singing, “Let’s Celebrate! Let’s clap our hands!” 4. You walk your kids to school and you break out in song singing, “Strollin’, strollin’, strollin’, strollin’ down the sidewalk…” 5. You tell …
