Meet Our Signing Time Academy Specialist

My name is Lara Baer.  I was born and raised in West Jordan, Utah, where I still live today.  I am the youngest of 3 children, and have a very large extended family that I love.  I graduated from Copper Hills High School, attended Salt Lake Community College, and then studied at Utah Valley University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Sign Language/Deaf Studies.  I enjoy scrapbooking, crafting, and anything creative.  I am an avid reader, and love movies.  I have worked for years in the retail industry interacting with people, which I enjoy.  Most recently, I have worked in event planning and guest services at the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
